In 1993, at least 5,000 pages of documents were found in the French National Archives relating to the people who lived at Laura: A Creole Plantation. More than 100 oral histories were collected from family members who lived on this plantation and Laura Locoul wrote detailed accounts of what happened here to her family and other inhabitants. 

Based on these original sources, the Laura Plantation Company offers not only its "Creole Family Saga" tour but also 3 special, in-depth themed tours for adult groups.
