The mine at the Eagle Mining Company in Julian, California has eleven levels (floors), with a vertical shaft which is over 400 feet deep. The tour takes about one hour, and goes deep into the mine. The inside of the mine has been kept as it was in it's 1870's appearance. Many of the original tools and equipment are on site. Quartz veins can be viewed in the walls of the tunnels, where gold was mined from. This is a very well informed staff, who give an informative and educational experience to be remembered always. The small town of Julian is located about 50 miles northeast of San Diego, California.
