September 11 Memorial Tours

Today we remember the past, honor our heroes and share with you tours of the memorial sites honoring them.  Afterglow made a beautiful video of the 30-feet golden waterfalls flow into the abyss 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center in New York - an elegantly beautiful but sad place.

As a preview to the Architects of Healing ceremony, AIA President Jeff Potter, FAIA, opened the May 17 general session with the story of the Flight 93 National Memorial. In a special video debuted at convention, Paul Murdoch, AIA, talked about the feelings that became the inspiration for the memorial.

Last year, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum joined the Ad Council to launch a public service advertising campaign asking citizens to "honor, remember and reunite" for the 10th anniversary of 9/11 by visiting the Memorial.
