On the eve of Grand Central Terminal's 100th Anniversary, WNYC gets a tour of a new terminal under construction that will connect Long Island Rail Road with the East Side of Manhattan. Workers have been digging 6 miles of tunnels through Manhattan, cutting through 500 million year old rock. The terminal is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
